New Song Up: "Alone, But Not Alone"

"I'm Alone, But Not Alone."
Just reading or hearing that phrase stirs up deep thoughts, right? Does it mean you're really alone physically, but spiritually you're not? Does it mean you want to be alone, but when you are you really don't want to be alone after all. I think it's both for me actually, in this song. See if you can relate to it.

Recorded nicely and on key (mostly) with some nice sequenced like drum loops.

I thought it would be cool if I started trying to post the lyrics too. Here they are.
"Alone, But Not Alone"

"Have I been screwing up my life, again?
A heavy handed knife. A friend.
Treading water, reach the shore.
Lucky number called, no more.
Giving it the best, again.
When it all works out, the end.
I'd tell you what I want, today.
You'd quickly turn your head. I say:

I'm alone, but not alone. Uh-huh.
I'm alone, but not alone. Oh-well.

Keep it on the staight, away.
Another lesson learned, so say.
If I just believe, in this.
My whole would change, I guess.

I'm alone, but not alone. Uh-huh.
I'm alone, but not alone. Oh-well.
Have I been roling all the dice, again?
Just have to make a choice, again.
Climbing mountains, reach the top.
Yes I'm afraid of heights, a lot.

I'm alone, but not alone. Uh-huh.
I'm alone, but not alone. Oh-well.

New Song and Podcast: "No Better Now" - week 10 Song

Week 10, Song 10
"No Better Now"

Ah, angst strikes again. This time in the form of breaking up b/c of distance, because it seemed like a good time at the time. But that same "time" goes on and on and you begin to second guess it all.
Recorded in the living room this time. Not the bathroom for a change.

Week 9, Song 9
"Luv is A 4 ltr Word"

Love is indeed a four letter word! I know I've felt it many times and I'm guessing you have too.

We Here's a little song from the male's point of view after his gal leaves. He's pissed, hurt, and full of angst. But still has a tid bit of faith that she'll come back.

Another excellence in bathroom recording. Enjoy and email me your Luv is A 4 ltr Word story.

OLD Ink19 Review

Wow. This old review is online still on the ink19 site.
"Atomsplit
Gangway
A four-song EP from this Atlanta based power-pop quartet that is lean and taught with plenty of hooks and little filler. While it may be pop, these guys leave the raw edge on the guitars and maintain a rhythm section that propels the songs forward. On the opening track, "Crashdown," the band bristles with energy, while on the third track, "Go Home," they slow down a bit with a song that is reminiscent of The Replacements. A nice EP for fans to listen to while they finish up their next full-length album, due in the fall"

New Song: "Resolutions 6 Feet long"

Week 8, Song 8

"Resolutions 6 Feet Long"

I had my collard greens, cornbread and black eyed peas yesterday so I'm hoping for a good year. Also hoping to make some improvements in life. You?

We all make resolutions this time of year. A lot of us have the same ones. Like eating better, being nicer and losing weight. So I couldn't resist but to make this weeks song about it.

It's a cute little diddy written in my bedroom and recorded in my "library" with only one acoustic guitar. No over tracking on this one. Have fun and good luck on those resolutions.
