Spent the long weekend in the Big Apple. NYC people. Wasn't allll that great but as it becomes a memory it becomes fond. Anyhow, I managed to carry my un-trusty iMac laptop into the heart of Times Square to do some audio recording of the experience. Then I also did some recording of the environment in Union Square and a club crowd. I mixed all the audio together and added a funky walking like drum beat. (I did a lot of walking!) Then I added a 5 different "stock" bass garageband tracks. Not just any bass track but "southern" bass. On account of me being from the South. The end result is not a song per se, but a "piece". A experimental environmental sound scape if you will. You hear the sirens, the crowds, etc. Enjoy it for what it is. Oh, did I mention there are no lyrics!

Found it on YouTube. I think I've heard of this band Deadly Fists of Kung Fu but had no what they sounded like. Check it out.

Thanks Gang for an Awesome Seminar!

This week's new tune is posted to the site (Podcast RSS update soon). It's called "Turn To Tan" and was recorded on my visit here to Silicon Valley California. I've been out here learning how to conquer your world from Tim Sweeney. Some nice days afternoon by the pool got a slight sun burn in the awesome weather out here. But I've heard on SOME people it turns to tan. So this is a "conversational" song about that. It's a lot of fun. And a bit different piece than I've posted before. Enjoy!
