That's the case with this one. Started out as a relationship song but then the verses took on a strange poetic life of their own. Speaking to physical ailments among other things. So, I suppose the underlying theme of this one is bad love, babies, bad love.

When my eyes tear, I let if flow.
I don't wipe them away.
